1. Integration Updates and Testnet Roadmap
Code Freeze & DevNet Phase:
The team is preparing for a code freeze on 5 May, marking a critical milestone ahead of external audits and Mainnet readiness. During the DevNet phase, the network will undergo intensive load testing, automated token relay validations, and infrastructure configuration. Following the freeze, the team anticipates greater capacity for outreach, podcast appearances, and ecosystem promotion.
Axelar Integration Status:
Progress is currently impacted by Axelar’s delay in integrating Solana, which has created a bottleneck for Telcoin’s whitelisting and related governance proposal approvals.
Testnet Launch & Mainnet Timeline:
A new Telcoin Testnet, architecturally aligned with Mainnet, is scheduled to launch ahead of pilot programs beginning 1 July. This environment will support validator onboarding, staking mechanisms, rewards distribution, and node operations testing.
Mobile Network Operator (MNO) Engagement:
The Testnet phase will be instrumental in preparing MNO participants, particularly those engaged in the July pilot, for their role in validating the network. MNOs will be onboarded, trained to run validator nodes, and supported in aligning their infrastructure with the Telcoin stack, ensuring readiness for the Alpha Mainnet launch projected in Q3.
2. Council Member Appointments
Ari (Stakers Miners) and Dwight (Liquidity Miners) passed compliance checks and received their Council Member NFTs.
They will earn TEL and participate in voting on snapshot proposals.
3. Proposal: Expand Council Meeting Coverage
Proposal presented to live stream meetings on X Spaces and YouTube to improve accessibility and reduce redundant queries.
Broie reported successful metrics from trial streams: 150 average viewers and 400 peak viewers with minimal cost.
OBS and other free streaming tools were discussed as viable options.
Consensus was in favor of moving the proposal to a vote, with broad support for increasing transparency and community engagement.
4. Proposal: Development of Council Organizational Chart
Broie proposed creating a public org chart to clarify council roles and responsibilities for stakeholders.
The chart would aid new members in identifying appropriate contacts and understanding council functions.
There was strong support, with suggestions to develop an intuitive website layout and potentially engage external design agencies.
Follow-up includes reviewing a draft and possibly hosting a workshop for feedback before full implementation.
5. Proposal: Update Telcoin Association’s CMC Profile
This was not a formal proposal but a request for a status update on updates being made to Telcoin’s CoinMarketCap profile.
6. Proposal: Media and Marketing Campaign for Telcoin Awareness
A draft RFQ has been developed to source strategic marketing and communications partners.
Objectives include increasing visibility among mobile operators, developers, liquidity providers, and end users.
The council is seeking approval for funding and intends to hear from shortlisted agencies in upcoming sessions.
7. Presentation by Scribe Agency
Scribe introduced their team and presented their qualifications as a marketing partner.
They emphasized their web3-native background, customization, and past experience with high-profile clients like Polygon, Aptos, and Cardano.
Scribe offered to consult on refining the RFQ and committed to tailored, metric-driven campaigns for Telcoin.
Their services span branding, media relations, digital strategy, and community engagement.
8. Closing Discussion
Council members expressed strong interest in accelerating visibility through strategic media efforts.
Additional agency presentations are anticipated in future meetings.
Continued collaboration is expected in finalizing the RFQ and evaluating proposals.
